Sometimes walls can have a calming effect on me, helping me to feel a bit more secure and contained in this world, but there are other times when I grow to hate them as much as you described, B. There’s sometimes an imperceptible point where they cross over from being nurturing to… well, constraining.
Another thing that helps, besides walls, is binge watching a really good television series. You distance yourself from the maelstrom and you come out of it inspired to produce good shit. At least that always works for me.
A friend died a few days ago, one I’ve not seen for many years, but one I have a deep affection for. Cue sorrow, frustration and that sense of futility.
I love this Tony
Really love the color too

In my old flat I had purple walls and I stared at them on those days. I began to hate those walls after a while…

This picture is the saddest, I can feel the pain and loneliness jumping out at me. Such a wonderful piece of art, Tony.

Thank you, Tre. That’s one thing I always want my art to convey. Emotion. 🙂

I’ve been feeling like this a lot this past week. A sense of futility that I wish would go away.
